Today we're launching a weekly tip on improving your coffee enjoyment. Since we launched House Cup, our goal has been to improve our customer's experience with coffee at home, in our cafes or area restaurants - without pretention or judgement. So here we go.
Our first one is easy - fresh coffee makes a much better cup. If you can purchase coffee from us whole bean, that's great. Like a bottle of wine, as soon as you open it, it begins to degrade - just like when you grind coffee beans. But if you don't have a grinder, no problem - but don't buy more than you need (2-3 weeks worth at most). Whole beans last longer especially in our sealed bags - months instead of weeks. You can be sure to get fresh roasted coffee from us either way since we don't let it sit on a shelf or warehouse for weeks - days at most from roast to your cup. The benefit of supporting your local roaster.
Next week we'll talk water. Until then, we hope you're having great moments with locally roasted, fresh coffee. Cheers!
